Super mom to two autistic kids. I’ve fought, cried, laughed, played, advocated, and built a community so families like ours aren’t alone.
We would like to thank you for supporting Rebecca Alexander in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
It’s Being able to watch the child you created grow into a polite, kind, and happy human: full of empathy, compassion, and laughter- is an amazing thing. If that’s all I achieve in my lifetime, then my life is complete. Passing on your values, beliefs, and morals is truly something special.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you? That no one is perfect—and we’re not meant to be. We all make mistakes. Life is constantly evolving, and we are always learning and growing. I don’t have all the right answers… and I don’t need to. Even our children have their own quiet lessons to teach us, if we give them the space to be themselves and are willing to truly listen. There is beauty in the chaos. Even in the hard moments you have to lean into the journey and live life to the fullest and find the beauty & light in every moment.
What would you do with $20,000?$20,000 honestly feels a bit surreal for us. My kids have never been on a vacation, but they’re always talking about going on a plane and seeing the world. I’d use it to give them that experience…..to do something fun, meaningful, and just OURs . To make those core memories you don’t forget. My dream would be to surprise them with a trip somewhere special and watch their faces when they realize our dreams are coming true.
