Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I am lucky enough to be able to work from home and be 100% active in watching my daughter grow. Every single part is rewarding. I not only get to watch her hit milestones, engage in activities, and grow, but more importantly I get to actually be a big part in shaping how all of those things happen! My husband and I have a dog who we call our son, who has been a part of every family event for 7 years, however I could not comprehend the amount of love and fulfillment this little girl would bring.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I’ve heard the saying, “the days are long but the years fly by”, but honestly even the days fly by! Motherhood has absolutely taught me to enjoy every moment. Every smile, every little noise, every new skill learned is a blessing and I am so glad I am fortunate enough to be able to slow down and enjoy all the little moments in our everyday lives. I am in no rush at all for her to grow, I don’t want to sleep in for too long just in case I miss a single moment, I love every minute.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000.00, I would immediately put a portion away for our sweet girl. My parents did not necessarily give me the best step up in life, and I would love to be able to afford to allow my daughter to explore her dreams one day. I would also take a portion to complete our home. My husband and I took our moldy, leaking, cramped home to studs and are rebuilding and our kitchen is the last space that would help ourselves and our daughter in daily life. Any remaining funds would go to fun!
