Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Motherhood is a once in eternity experience and I'm soaking in every second of it. Every morning before school I say to my daughter Hazel, “brave and kind,” and she hits me back with, “Jesus is on my side!”… and honestly, seeing that confidence in her is more rewarding than anything. If I can be the mom packing their lunches and the one hosting photography retreats around the world, I know I’m showing them they can do big things too!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

After battling Lyme Disease, motherhood has taught me there’s no such thing as “perfect balance.” I can be home in pajamas for morning snuggles and breakfast… and then hop on a flight that night to photograph New York Bridal Fashion Week 😝 The biggest thing I’ve learned is to be intentional and grateful for everyday… even if that means packing a half-eaten toddler snack in my camera bag and recording podcasts during nap time!

What would you do with $20,000?

I’ve always said I’d buy my daughter a horse if I ever won something like this..and might have to keep my promise if so 🤣 But beyond that, I’d pour it right back into my family. Motherhood has taught me to sacrifice and be selfless, so I’d use it to create more time and memories together like riding lessons for Hazel, outdoor time with Hud, or shooting archery together as a family! And of course, I’d keep growing what I’ve built… because if I’m buying the horse, I better keep grindin! ✌️
