I didn’t know this at first, but our children are our greatest teachers. They have a unique way of showing us the unhealed parts of ourselves as an invitation to heal & evolve, but only if we are wise enough to accept it. Bearing witness as they grow & mature into kindhearted intelligent adults is such a privilege. And if we’re lucky we get bonus babies—all their friends! It’s certainly never easy, often challenging & quite exhausting, yet being a Mom is the most rewarding gift one can have.

That even after death, you are still connected to your child, just in another form, love never ends, & grief cracks you open in ways you could never imagine possible. My son Max died from fentanyl poisoning. The pain of losing him almost killed me. But I ultimately chose to believe we are still connected. I channeled my anguish into Super Mom action—I wrote primary prevention education legislation in NJ to educate our youth 6-12th on our new deadly drug landscape to keep children safe & alive.

Continue my outreach raising awareness on fentanyl poisoning to prevent further tragedy. And I would dedicate some time writing my book on grief for families. My goal is to help other’s manage the excruciating pain that comes with unthinkable tragedy. The agony of losing my child has made me stronger in ways I never thought possible. Max is still teaching me things every day & it’s made me a better Mom to his siblings and a better more present partner & friend. TY for letting this Momma dream.
