Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mum to me is being able to raise my daughter with multiple health problems into a strong, purpose driven, kind, confident young lady with a heart of gold. The most rewarding part in regards to taking care of my mum with Alzheimer’s is the gift of giving back to her, my seeing her light up when i get home from work. There is no greater reward compared to my knowing that my daughter can come to me with any problem. No matter how bad the situation.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

OMG! Patience. There are days i want to scream my head off from being too tired in spirit, physical ,psychologically and mentally. Motherhood has taught me I can’t give in, no matter what, keep it positive. Knowing I have people counting on me. Motherhood thought my where there is a will there is a way, hence my battling paralysis from my waist down, knowing that I can’t give in to my Lamborghini (wheelchair). My daughter ,mother and patients depend on me.

What would you do with $20,000?

Wow, First i would hold that money to my heart “stating 20k? Is this you” Thank God for the gift. Then begin my life long wish of opening a home for children that have outgrown the system and a foster home, estalish a group home for the elderly, not just any group home but... The name I already have “A place to call home”. That is exactly what I will do with the money. I won’t even think twice about it.
