What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Providing the best childhood possible for my boys is my only focus, even if I have to do it alone. They are the best part of me and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. They make it all worth it. My boys are on the honor roll, sports, and just all around great kids. I just wish I could do more for them. They push me to be the best version of myself possible and I am so thankful to be their Mom.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson has been patience and gratitude. Everyday they need me no matter what is going on in life or the world. It’s my job to make sure they have stability and happiness. Over the years I have learned that anyone who comes around and jeopardizes our happiness just isn’t worth it. Being a single mom has taught me to always be aware of the consequences of not being the best version of myself. For them, I have to keep going. I will not let my past affect their future.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won the money it would go towards getting my license back and buying a vehicle. My boys have walked with me for 5 years. They never judge, they never complain, we just do it. We walk to school, work, practice, groceries, ect. They deserve the opportunities a vehicle would bring us. I would also be able to find a better career. Resources are very limited in Northern Mi and opening that up for them would definitely allow for a brighter future.
