Ngoc Schexnider

I don't consider myself as a super mom. I'm just a mom of 5 who is trying her best to be present physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

As cliche as this sounds, the rewards is hearing "mom" every day, every seconds of every day. Five kids may be a lot but having their company is comforting and watching them grow is the saddest and happiest thing to watch. Bittersweet rewards.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I've learned is that as a mom, I can't run on an empty cup and it is okay to have a "me time". I used to think that's not needed but to be able to mentally and physically be there for my kids and everyone else, I need a reminder to take care of myself and I know as moms, we forget.

What would you do with $20,000?

Being a mom, my first thought is to spend it wisely. 😅 But definitely take the kids somewhere, we've never been to Disney so that would be the place, book plane tickets for the whole family. And to have my husband take off work as needed for the trip without worrying about money, going there and when we get back. After that, I would love to put that in savings as in a couple of years, to put down for a vehicle for our oldest as he will be close to graduating high school.
