Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Is the quiet moments that others don’t always see the small wins, the trust, the connection. It’s when your child looks to you as their safe place, when progress shows up in its own time & when love is felt without words. It’s knowing my patience, love and consistency create a safe space where both my boys can grow, Seeing the joy in my non verbal sons face when he is understood, hearing my younger son patiently supporting his brother. My children free to be themselves & that is everything.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that love, patience & resilience are everything. Raising a neurotypical son and a nonverbal autistic son has shown me that progress isn’t always obvious, victories come in small moments & every breakthrough matters. Balancing their worlds has taught me to celebrate the quiet wins, trust my instincts, & find joy even on the hardest days that test me. Every breakthrough reminds me that showing up fully, with love & presence is the most powerful thing I can do.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would first, set up more therapy programs for my son. Creating more for a sensory/play room for my sons. Anything left would help with activities for them and everyday life. I would love to add to my learning to help other families and children that are on the spectrum.
