As my kids get older, it’s so rewarding to have them want to spend time with me and choose time with me when there are so many other things they could choose. Also seeing them face challenges and come to me in trust - while we’re not perfect parents by any means, to have their trust at this age means the world.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I can’t save my kids from pain. This has been a hard lesson to learn, whether it’s falls and scrapes when they are little, or rejection and disappointment as they get older. As moms we all want to protect our kids, but in many areas of life all we can do is be there to help them through the tough stuff.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly I would go on a family vacation. I’ve only got a few more years until my daughter finishes high school and it’s a dream of mine to travel somewhere together before then.
