Some people call me the energizer bunny. I work with children and yet still go home to my own and don’t stop until my head hits my pillow
We would like to thank you for supporting Michelle Masellis in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Honestly, everything. It’s the little things too, my son excited to share the photo he drew, when he got 8/10 on his spelling test after we practiced, calling for me when I’m not in the room to check where I am. Most of all, it’s just watching him grow into this sweet, sensitive, caring, energetic person.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is patience and love. Patience because things take time, whether it’s when my child wants or o be independent when we’re already rushing or he just wants 5 more minutes of snuggles before bed. It’s also taught me to love again and what being loved feels like. My son has reminded me that there’s so much good in the world and people can still be good. I have been through the wringer with men but my son is evidence that I shouldn’t give up on love.
What would you do with $20,000?I think I’d take the time to really plan how $20,000 could change my life and my child’s. I know I would want to invest some and would definitely contribute to his education fund as well. But I think to be able to breathe for a second without worrying about how much my grocery bill was is more than I could hope for. I’d also love to put some money into my parents house for some well-needed renovations.
