Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to make an impact in my son’s life is incredibly rewarding, and seeing all the ways that ripples outward. It’s brought meaningful connections, from meeting moms at his daycare to growing closer with my sister after she had her first baby and went through postpartum too. The most rewarding part is being part of something bigger than myself. There really is no better club than the mom club.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood taught me that I’m stronger than I ever thought I could be. When my ex left during postpartum, I didn’t have time to fall apart, I had to show up. It also taught me to ask for help and lean on community. You can’t do motherhood alone, and you’re not supposed to. Strength isn’t doing everything yourself, it’s building a life where you and your child can thrive.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d use it to build a support community for moms (especially single moms) so no one feels alone. After having my son, I didn’t even know resources like insurance-covered night nurses existed until another mom told me. I’ve started this through meetups and repurposing baby items for new moms. With $20K, I’d expand it into real support: events, shared resources, and a network moms can rely on.
