What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The raw undeniable love and bond with my children. Having baby cuddles and the smiley face of my 3 month old looking up at me. My 2 year old running into my arms yelling mommy with all the excitement and enthusiasm in the world. There’s no place I’d rather be. It makes every hardship worth it and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To give myself some grace in the struggle. Being a single mom doesn’t come without its difficulties. My children matter most of all. I want to give them a life they deserve and they need me to be the best versions of myself. I want them to be happy feel safe and know they’re loved. Life can be hard and I try to find the light in the dark times.

What would you do with $20,000?

When my ex fiance and I were still together he was going to renovate the one bathroom in my house. It wasn’t the only thing demolished. Halfway through the process our relationship ended and he left my son and I who was 7 months pregnant on our own. Now almost 8 months later taking care of a newborn and my toddler my bathroom is still in pieces. The tub and toilet work but no working shower or sink. With $20,000 I would complete my bathroom up to where it’s user friendly.
