For me, one of the most rewarding parts of motherhood is watching others love and enjoy my children. Seeing them bring happiness to people, lifting spirits with their kindness, is incredibly moving. I love watching them experience the magic of holidays and seeing the pride in their eyes when they achieve something they’ve worked for. There is enough bad in our world and it makes me feel so good to know I am helping spread just a little of the good.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood taught me to be the example. My children are always watching—how I speak to myself, how I care for myself, and how I move through the world. It made me realize that what I model is what they learn. Because of that, I’ve learned to be kinder, more patient, and more forgiving with myself, knowing that my example shapes who they become, for better or worse.
What would you do with $20,000?With this prize money, I’d create a dream fund for each of my kids so I can say yes to their passions—whether it’s sports or whatever lights them up. I want them to grow up feeling supported, believed in, and knowing their dreams truly matter. More than anything, I want them to see that anything is possible when you work hard and have someone in your corner cheering you on.
