I’m the mom of 5, stepmom of 3. My oldest is 22 and he has autism and is mostly nonverbal. All the kids are boys except my 16yo daughter.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mellissa Chapman in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Being there for them, for all the good, bad, big and small things that they have been and will still go through. I love watching them do what makes them happy. Sports, singing, or fishing. Sharing their wins and supporting them with their losses.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The days are long, the years fly by fast! I really wish there was a way to go back and just be able to bask in the beginnings of new motherhood and instead of just surviving it. I was a young mom. But I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I felt like I was made for it. And the older we get, I know I didn’t do everything right or perfect. But I did the best I could at the time.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay bills and pay off debt. Possibly help my daughter get her first car.
