Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching these tiny little humans that I created, but who chose me and blossom into outgoing, respectful, kind, loving people. I think the most rewarding is when another adult, teacher, or parent compliments how amazing my kids are. How teachers fight over them to be in their classroom because they’re just great kids. I truly feel blessed and so grateful.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood had taught me is it’s okay to take time for you and be selfish. Motherhood is such a selfless job, constantly serving our children and what’s best for them, we desire that and get wrapped up in that and all their successes. But how can we provide what’s best for them if we’re not at our best? Postpartum depression after having my twins really taught me a lot about myself, and lead me into a healing journey that turned me into a better mother.

What would you do with $20,000?

To be honest $20k right now would contribute to my husband and I continuing my to care for our children. That means catching up on our house payments and peeping a roof over our head, covering and catching up on past due bills. That relief would provide the opportunity to breathe, release some anxiety and enjoy a possible family vacation with some fun with our kids during the current struggles.
