Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being responsible for giving my kids the best childhood. I don’t want to over schedule my kids or put too much importance on their academics. I love being able to focus on the small stuff that makes childhood magical like staying in pjs all day if we can, playing in the mud and rain or climbing trees and catching bugs. Childhood is short and it’s so fun to just let my kids be kids and relive the magic with them

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to slow down and be present. I am someone who likes to work hard for rest and takes pride in my accomplishments but having a baby taught me not every day can be productive and I have to be ok with that. Some days are just meant for cuddling sick kids and it’s ok if not everything gets done. My kids won’t remember if the dishes got done that day but they will remember that their mom put them first and made them feel loved

What would you do with $20,000?

I would like to say we will buy an RV which will make traveling more affordable at this stage in life but there’s a possibility that the money may just go to letting me be a stay at home mom a little longer. Either way the money will be life changing for my family right now and give us so many more opportunities to be together and do fun things.
