Honestly, I think the most rewarding part of motherhood for me is being able to see the fruit of my labor. Being a mom is so hard - and being able to see my children show love, show gratitude, show kindness and even humility and forgiveness - that brings me so much joy and makes me feel like I'm doing an okay job at this. Hearing another mom tell me that my kids are doing great, or watching my son go up to his friend at church and make sure he's okay - that's what makes this so rewarding.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?That grace and patience are so valuable and can be just as impactful as discipline. I believe that there is a time and place for consequences and disciplinary actions, but I also have learned that giving grace in moments where it may not be "deserved" or expected has such an impact on my children - sometimes more so than any consequence can.
What would you do with $20,000?Oh gosh. First, I would give to my local church, and then I think I would try my best to finish paying off our debt, so we can focus on getting a bigger home to hopefully grow our family.
