The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching her grow through challenges—seeing things that were once difficult gradually become easier over time. And seeing myself grow as her mom through challenges as well.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me—especially in the toddler stage—is how much I like control over my time, and how often that doesn’t work anymore. When I slow down, let go of my own timeline, and truly show up for her, that’s where the most growth happens—for both of us. It’s humbling, and it’s shown me that being her mom is the most important role I’ll ever have, trusting God to fill in where I fall short.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly, I know it sounds cliché, but I’d take her to Disney. She’s at such a magical age and truly believes the characters are real. She knows the songs—and even the scores—by heart. I’d pair it with a national park trip too. She already loves hiking and even did the Nā Pali Coast waterfall trail—8 miles on her dad’s back—last year. It would be the sweetest mix of magic and adventure.
