I am proactive, I protect my home. I run a inhome daycare the mental load is a lot and I still show up everyday. I pay attention & love hard

When I was 18 months old my mother passed away so it has been very rewarding to experience and heal from things I missed out on growing up. Mother’s Day was always tough for me not having a mom and now it’s my favorite holiday. I never got to experience a mother’s love and now it’s all I know and feel for my daughter. Something as simple as getting her dressed and doing her hair in the morning means so much to me as a little girl I only ever had a ponytail because that’s all I knew how to do.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I don’t have to be perfect to be a great mom. I can’t be the calm, patient, present mom i want to be if im overwhelmed, stretched thin, or running on guilt. My child doesn’t need flawless they need: consistency, safety, love, and a mom who keeps showing up. Ive learned that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use it to give my family the space we’ve been dreaming of a bigger home where my kid can grow, feel safe, and just be a kid. It would also open the door for us to welcome another child into our family, something that’s been on my heart. Being a mom means building a life full of love, and this would help me do exactly that.
