I am a single mom of three girls. I have primary custody of my daughters. My eldest was recently diagnosed with epilepsy.

The most rewarding part of being a mom is getting to be the adult for my daughters that I needed when I was younger. I try my best to show up for them every day. They are all kind, resilient, respectful and responsible girls. When their teachers and coaches talk about them, they consistently say how kind and happy they are. Being the one who tucks them in at night and reminds them to be good humans is the most rewarding part of being a mother.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Nobody told me that at every turn there would be new obstacles and challenges to face. I learned patience, and how to roll with the punches. I learned to give grace and be thankful. I learned that everyone is facing their own challenges and struggles. Sometimes they are loud, and sometimes they are quiet. But no matter what the circumstances, we are all in this together, doing our best to raise humans to be good people and to reach their full potential.
What would you do with $20,000?I would take my girls on a trip to Disney World. I would love to experience a trip of a lifetime like that with them while they are still little. They ask me to go every day! I would invest the rest of the money into a 529 account for college. It’s important to me that their educational future is secure.
