Watching my girl accomplish things in life that I would have been too scared or not confident enough to try myself. Sometimes even as an adult! I learn so much from her about courage, individuality, self acceptance and creativity. She’s also raised the bar on some of the values that I’ve taught her which is inspiring and makes me so proud. She’s is my greatest teacher.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Letting go. As a mom, you are constantly being asked to learn to let go. Let her fall so she can learn to walk. Let her attend day care so she can learn to socialize and trust that I’ll always come back for her. Let her go to a sleepover. Let her go on overnight field trips. Let her go to a party, to drive, to cook, to have her heart broken, to go away for college. Let her go and reassure her I’ll always be right where she can find me.
What would you do with $20,000?I’d give some of the money to my Mom and I’d pay down my student loan. But not before taking my girl on a weekend trip to the beach so we can fall asleep on the sand and let the tide coming in wake us! First things first! 🌞
