I’ve raised my stepson as my own since he was 2 years old, he’s now 20. After years of infertility I finally had my miracle baby.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mariah Kinder in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Knowing that I am my children’s safe place. No matter what, no matter when- Mama will be there. When my oldest says, “Hey, Ma. Could you make me a lasagna?” My heart smiles. The constant snuggles with my little one bring me a peace that I cannot explain.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I wanted to do things differently as a parent from how I was raised. Every day I learn something new. If I could pinpoint the most important thing I’ve learned it would be patience. Sometimes taking those three extra seconds and a couple of big breaths before I respond or react can make the difference of the situation.
What would you do with $20,000?The first thing I would do is take a week off of work. Being Self-Employed doesn’t allow for many days off. I am a cleaning lady so I am always moving and a break would be nice. I might take that vacation that I’ve been wanting to go on. But let’s be serious… I’m going to be paying some bills!
