Seeing my kids happy means everything to me—picking up my daughter and granddaughter from school and watching the smiles on their faces is priceless. The handwritten letters they continue to write me mean so much. Reading their words, getting their hugs, and hearing them tell me they appreciate the job I’m doing as a mom is deeply rewarding. Moments like these remind me why I keep going and give me strength every day.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that, regardless of the bad times and challenges I face, I am stronger than I ever imagined. Motherhood pushes you past your limits physically, emotionally, and mentally. I’ve learned that even when I feel empty, I can still give love, protection, and strength to my kids. It has taught me resilience, patience, and the ability to keep going even when I feel like I have nothing left.

What would you do with $20,000?

Omg! The vacation the girls have been begging for—something we haven’t been able to do in a long time. After getting my granddaughter back, she needed therapy, and court fees and appointments have been overwhelming for the past two years. I’m finally able to catch up on bills, get them clothes and shoes, and start rebuilding an emergency fund I had to deplete while searching for her. I also need to get a car after mine was repossessed because I couldn’t work while trying to locate her.
