I am a single mama of an energetic 7 year-old boy who is working full-time and attending graduate school full-time.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mallory in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
I would have to say watching my son utilize the tools & lessons that I provide to overcome obstacles within himself. Especially tools that I did not receive growing up such as regulating emotions and communication. Bearing witness to his personal growth at such a young age is so amazing & makes me incredibly proud.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson I’ve learned is how to forgive and ask for forgiveness. Nobody is perfect, especially in the role of a single parent. Learning to forgive myself for mistakes I’ve made, and being vulnerable and willing to admit to my son that I have made a mistake and in turn asking for his forgiveness has been a huge lesson for me. Mistakes aren’t always bad: in fact, they often times create an opportunity to improve moving forward.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use half to create a college fund for my son, and put the other half towards my own college loans.
