I have been a single mom to my 15 year old. She is beautiful, talented & smart. She has all straight A's and dances competitively.
We would like to thank you for supporting Maia Jomaa in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Seeing what a wonderful young lady my daughter is turning into. I work 2 jobs, I am mom, dad and chauffeur to her. It brings me joy to know she appreciates all I do for her to keep her dancing and also knowing I raised such an amazing human being for our future generations.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?It isn't easy, but so rewarding. I have struggled. Some days not knowing how I will get through to the next day or how I will put food on the table....but somehow God gets me through it. There is noting a mother can't handle in order to keep their kids happy.
What would you do with $20,000?I honestly would put it towards my daughters competitive dance bill. I owe usually about 10-15k a year on it. Being a single mother with no hope and only my income, that is my biggest stress. I keep my daughter in it because she loves it, she is so dedicated to it and there is nothing more she would rather be doing then shining on stage with her dance friends. I sacrifice spoiling myself to keep her dancing. That is motherhood and true love for your children.
