Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching them find joy in the little things we take for granted as adults. Watching a bird fly overhead brings a smile to their little face and it makes a busy mom stop, look up, and smile to see what is making them so happy.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Balancing work, motherhood, and school is hard, but making being a mom the biggest priority helps them grow. Kids also lead by example, so if their experience is watching you balance each thing well, they will learn how to manage their stress and find balance in their choices too. The biggest lesson is that in stressful moments, find a healthy outlet that does not include taking your stress out on your children. Going to the gym, family game night, or taking the kids on a walk is how we cope.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would pay off debt first! Debt accumulated with the multiple moves we have had at the start of our careers. We want to pay off debt so we can utilize our income to take more educational trips with our kids, like caves and historical destinations (Williamsburg, etc.) Then, with remaining money we would be able to start college/post-high school funds for our 3 kids to be able to set them up for their early adulthood.
