I think the most rewarding part of being a mother right now is knowing that there is a legacy we're creating within our own family. There's something so beautiful about raising little humans and teaching them how to walk through life. As an art educator, I have always loved that aspect of teaching. Now I get to continue that in such a deeper and more intimate way with my child.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?As a first time mother with a young child, it has taught me that not everything goes the way that you imagine, but it always ends up being so much more beautiful. It's really really hard sometimes... I don't really sleep anymore, I don't have the same body I used to, and I don't get to spend as intentional time with my husband as I used to. But this is our new life and adjusting to it has been equally as beautiful as it has been difficult. We created something so astounding together.
What would you do with $20,000?I would start with paying off medical debt and then I would use what I could to put towards a down payment for a house for our growing family. Super exciting stuff! Haha!
