I work full time in a successful design career, I care for two young boys with my husband, I’ve overcome severe hearing loss as an adult.
We would like to thank you for supporting Madelynne Moulton in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
When you are a mother, there is such a dichotomy between being protective and wanting your children to grow. The best part of motherhood is those moments where you see your child do something independently and confidently. Nothing fills my cup more. Selfishly, I also love the small moments with my children. When my four year old wakes up in the morning with his sleepy eyes and I pick him up and he wraps his legs around me and I can feel his light touch on my shoulder, it makes it all worth it!
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood is a true test of being okay with the unknown. Just when you think you have it all figured out, BAM! Something changes. As a type A person who likes to be in control, I have had to learn to ride the wave. Being okay with not knowing what is next and leaning fully into the state of unpredictability. Lean on your people, your therapist, your medications, and your partner to get you through the journey. It takes a village. I have also learned that your capacity to love grows tenfold <3
What would you do with $20,000?I would love to take my husband and children on a dream vacation with some of the money. We would love to do a Disney cruise! If there was leftover money, I would donate some to my favorite charities in town that support mothers (Nashville Diaper Connection, Renewal House, Mother's Milk Bank of TN, MothertoMother) and I would also treat myself to a new purse or piece of jewelry!
