I’m raising two toddlers through major health challenges while in college full time, and I still lead with love, strength, and purpose.
We would like to thank you for supporting madeline heinsen in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing how strong my children are and knowing I get to be the one who loves and supports them through everything. One of my sons has autism and was born at only three pounds, and my other son had open heart surgery. Watching them grow, heal, and shine has changed me forever. Every milestone means so much more, and being their mom is my greatest purpose.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that strength is not about having an easy life. It is about showing up with love even when things are heavy. Raising two toddlers, including one son with autism who was born at three pounds and another who had open heart surgery, has taught me patience, faith, and resilience. It showed me that I can survive hard things and still keep going for my children.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the $20,000 to build more stability for my children and me. I would put it toward a reliable car, school expenses, and savings so I can keep moving forward without so much stress. As a mom raising two toddlers with significant medical histories while finishing college, that kind of support would make a real difference. It would help me stay focused on becoming a teacher and creating a secure future for my family.
