Although I didn’t birth my brother, or the people I care for, being a caregiver or “mother-like figure” is extremely rewarding in many ways. Being a mom means being reliable, depended on, trusted and supportive. Motherhood is a gift, and the traits that come with being a mother means strength, wisdom, compassion and overwhelming love

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Being a “mom” has taught me so much, from having an immense amount of understanding, empathy, patience and deep care. Motherhood also means sacrificing your own desires & ambitions to sometimes care for those you love, and that is the hardest lesson I believe. Prioritizing who and what comes first, and being able to accept those decisions, while also remaining faithful that the fruits of our labor will be reciprocated

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 I’d pay off outstanding debt, and save most of the rest. I am currently learning how important financial stability is & how beneficial it could be to have in the future. For some though, I’d treat my brother and I to a much needed trip. Being a full-time student in my graduate program, an aspiring model & caregiver brings a lot of responsibility, as well as less time to spend with those we love. Being present is just as important as working towards your goals
