Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Having a 20-month-old miracle baby is incredibly special—every step, word, and giggle feels like a gift. The most rewarding part for me is watching him explore the world with curiosity and develop his personality while knowing how much he was hoped and prayed for. Although, some days are really tough and tiresome, his little hugs, smiles and watching him achieve milestones carry extra meaning and joy.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me patience, unconditional love, and how little control I truly have. I am someone who likes control and being a mother has shown me how to let go and let things happen. It’s shown me how to slow down (which in my busy lifestyle is good), appreciate small moments, and be present every day. Most of all, it’s taught me strength, I can handle more than I thought I could, I love deeper than I thought was possible, and I am growing alongside my son.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a mom, I would say I would use it to better my future for my son. So emergency funds, college savings, etc. As a nurse and former student, I would say to use it to pay off some debt like student loans. As a wife, I would say to use it to get the dream honeymoon that we couldn't take or use it for a down payment on a new house. So honestly, I am unsure, but I know it would go to bettering our future and setting us up for success.
