What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is knowing the little girl in me would be proud. My husband and I are breaking the generational trauma we grew up with, and I show up for my kids day and night with honesty, comfort, and humility. I focus on their memories, their healing, and being their safe place. Even as adults, they still choose to come home. With my husband often traveling, carrying so much on my own makes their trust the greatest reward.

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is patience. I’ve learned that I can’t protect my children from every hardship, but I can stand beside them as they grow. Allowing them space to struggle, learn, and find their own solutions has shaped me just as much as it shapes them. It’s a skill—and a grace—I continue to refine every day.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20K, I would share the blessing with my kids. My older three could use help toward a car, and my youngest’s share would go into savings. Most importantly, we’ve never been able to take a full family vacation, and I’d love to create memories together—help my daughter heal, give my oldest son a break from working nonstop, and finally enjoy time as a family in one place.
