Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

My most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my kids happy and thriving. I’m their biggest supporter and advocate, reminding them every day that they can do anything. After my husband passed, I had to carry it all on my own but watching my children grow into who they are and celebrate new milestones makes me proud beyond words. I have three amazing kids who remind me daily that I’m loved, and they are the best part of my life.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is strength I didn’t know I had and unconditional love. Even through heartbreak, I keep showing up, because my kids need me. Motherhood taught me to take life one moment at a time, to lead with patience, and to find hope even on the hardest days. It’s also shown me that love can carry a family through anything, and that being present matters more than being perfect.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000, I’d use it to give my kids stability and peace of mind pay down bills, build an emergency fund, and add to their savings. I’d also plan a meaningful trip for the five of us (a week away somewhere warm with a few special experiences) so we can unplug, laugh, and build memories together—because after everything we’ve been through, those moments matter most.
