What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is that my kids are my greatest teachers. They inspire me daily to grow, to be more patient, playful, present, intentional and more loving. Because of them, I strive to become the best version of myself – a beneficial presence– not just for them, but alongside them.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

That love is not just a feeling – it’s an ACTION, a choice, especially in the hard moments. Since tragically loosing my husband, I've learned that even through heartbreak, great loss and continued grief, love, and vulnerability can deepen, expand and carry a family forward. My children have shown me that presence matters more than perfection, and that showing up again and again with love, and intention, is all that truly matters. This is what shapes who they become – and who I am becoming!

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use the money toward a home purchase to create stability for my children. Right after my husband passed, I discovered he had let his life insurance policy lapse, leaving us with nothing. He was our sole provider while I continue completing my PhD in clinical psychology. This support would help us build security and a lasting home in the community my children know and love.
