I knew from a young age I wanted to be a mom. I had so much love to give and wanted to have a little family to share that with. The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching them learn. I've never experienced such joy as when they figure something out that makes their faces light up. My kids are curious and constantly learning and it's a privilege to watch them!
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I come from a home where love was conditional. Growing up like that I knew I had cycles to break. I've learned so many lessons as I've navigated motherhood without the support of my own parents. I've learned that true love is never conditional. I've learned to let the little things go and the messes be made. I have learned that each child is truly different and embracing their differences helps them shine.
What would you do with $20,000?We are planning to expand our homestead farm in the near future. If I was fortunate enough to win this award I would invest some of the money in the kid's savings accounts and put the rest toward our farm. The money could be used for animal infrastructure...or fluffy baby cows...the possibilities are endless!
