Watching my son believe in himself. It stuns me hearing him say or do something I’ve taught him. Catching him tell a friend “It’s ok everyone makes mistakes it’s how we learn.” Being a working Mom coming from trauma, those moments cut through my doubt, guilt, and exhaustion. They whisper, “You’re doing it right.” Seeing things stick and raising a kind human makes every fight for his therapies, every long night, and every sacrifice worth it.

You can’t pour from an empty wine bottle, and isolation will destroy you. Get the hurtful things said to you out of your head. As a single Supermom who survived trauma, I hid in the house with my son’s disorders, my PTSD, anxiety and Depression. Afraid of the publics reaction to his disorders behaviors. I thought I was protecting him. I was wrong. I should have found community like us, EARLY on, chose courage over fear/shame. Finding neuro community didn't just help us it saved us.

Finding out I was a candidate felt like a miracle. The timing and my situation truly gave me hope as a single Mom in the world. The 20k is the only chance for a thriving life we can make headway and progress. I’d pay for specialized ABA therapy for my son,Dr. McCloud therapy and Parent training and non chemical treatments. My son had multiple therapy’s a wk for yrs. I was unable to work FT. I would love to pay bills and loans. I’d pay for car repairs that are the most important.
