Being in the moment, every moment with my son is so rewarding. I am blessed to be able to be with him through most walks of his day to day life. It's not the big milestones as much as it is the small, real-life wins: the car ride conversations, proud parent moments at games and events, and the assurances where we see the values showing up in how he treats others and himself.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson I have learned is I can't control everything or everyone or every situation, but I can show up consistently and do the best that I can. My kid knows I am not perfect but these 12 years I have learned patience is key, perfection isn't the goal, little moments matter more than the big ones, and just being present is more important than being perfect!
What would you do with $20,000?I would make sure my life is in order at least as much as I can, then take my son and husband on an unforgettable vacation.
