Lindsay Digman

I'm one of the people people ask, how do you do it all? I balance a lot outside of being a parent while still being very present for my kid.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Sometimes I cry when we're making core memories together, things that I know will bring my son joy when he thinks about them later in life. I lost my Dad a few years ago, and that experience reminded me what order my priorities should be in. Time together doesn't need to be complicated. My son is 4 and he helps me in the kitchen almost every day, and then we sit down and eat together. He doesn't eat "kid food." I've seen him scarf down rissoto while sipping tart cherry from a crystal glass.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I believe the most important part about being a parent is leading by example. Becoming a mom made me reevaluate some aspects of my life, particularly what I was willing to accept around how people treated me. I needed my kid to know that he matters, so I needed to remind myself that I mattered too.

What would you do with $20,000?

Funding my next business. I live in a rural but developing area that's getting a lot of housing developments, but not as many amenities to support them. I have a goal of filling as many community gaps as I can. I'm launching a produce stand called Potluck this month that gives people more convenient access to our locally grown goods and promotes seasonal recipe sharing. Then in late 2026 I'm switching gears and starting a thrift store with a runway for quarterly upcycled fashion shows.
