What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

How can there be just one part? The way they yell mama and run towards me after a long day at work. How I am there safe place and they just collapse into me when they’re sick or tired. The way they look up at me when they are proud that they were able to do something on their own. When they recite our family values and act them out; brave, kind, humble, do your best.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I’ve always been a stereotypical millennial, finding self-worth in how hard I work and how busy I am. But being a mom has taught me to slow down and be present. The time I have with them is so short compared to the time I don’t. I’ve had to become a better version of myself in every way— how I react, how I repair, how I work, how I show self worth, how I run my business. They’ve quite literally changed me for the better.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would invest it in more quality time with my kids, making memories— trips, dates, fun. They are the best thing to have ever happened to me and bring me so much joy. I just want to see them smile every day.
