Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my son grow into who he’s becoming. It feels like I blinked and went from holding a baby to raising a young man. As a single mom, I’ve been his constant through it all—and knowing the way I’ve loved and guided him has helped shape who he is means everything to me. It’s bittersweet watching each phase pass, but I’m always falling in love with who he’s becoming next.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

That love is something you show, not just say. Being a mom has taught me how to show up no matter what—through uncertainty, exhaustion, and growth. You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be consistent, present, and intentional. Also, Time is a thief—since he was born, it’s gone by so quickly, and I’ve learned to truly appreciate and cherish every moment more than ever.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use it to create stability and opportunity for my son. As a single mom, everything I do is with him in mind—so I’d invest in his future and experiences that help shape who he’s becoming. My goal has always been to give him a life that feels secure, supported, and full of possibility.
