The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching a life unfold because you were there—because you nurtured it, protected it, and loved it before it even knew how to love you back. It’s in the quiet, unremarkable moments that suddenly feel enormous. The way they reach for you without thinking. The way your voice steadies them. The way they begin to carry pieces of you—your humor, your strength, even your flaws—and make them their own.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me surrender—that love is not control. You guide, protect, and give everything you have, but you cannot choose their path or shield them from every hurt. It teaches patience, humility, and grace. Most of all, it shows that real love means letting them become who they are meant to be, while trusting that what you’ve given them will carry them forward.

What would you do with $20,000?

Part of being a mom is putting your dreams on hold without question or second-guessing. I would first like to help my parents out, and then put the rest of the money towards writing my books, promoting my screenplay, and investing in my candle business. I would also like to give money to the youth ministry I work for.
