The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my son grow into his own person and knowing I’m his biggest supporter. Whether I’m cheering him on at soccer games or guiding him through life, those moments of connection mean everything. I also feel fulfilled showing him the importance of kindness, creativity, and helping others, especially through the work I do with my students and families with and without disabilities.

Motherhood has taught me patience, flexibility, and unconditional love. Every child is different, and I’ve learned to meet my son and my students where they are. It’s shown me that growth takes time, encouragement matters, and being present is more powerful than being perfect. These lessons carry into my work, my business, and how I support families every day. Connection is the key and it takes a village to keep excelling on that path.

Being blessed with $20,000, I would invest it into growing my traveling art education business, ArtasticArt—bringing more creative opportunities to kids across our community w/ art supplies & ed. content. I’d expand programs for students on the autism spectrum, provide supplies for underserved families, and offer mentorship to other art teachers. It would also support my son’s passions, especially soccer, while continuing to build a life centered around creativity, connection, and giving back.
