Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Having the privilege of being entrusted to raise this little person into the person they are meant to be. Every success, every failure, every accomplishment and every shortfall - I feel the weight of it, I know he does and it’s my job to make sure he just continues growing. Every laugh, every tear, every smile, being the one he looks for in the stands to see if I saw is priceless.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being present. Life throws you curve balls and sometimes your own mistakes has affects on your children (those are the worst) but it pushes you to do better, to be better. I don’t have all the answers, but I will be by his side for every step of this journey learning right along with him.

What would you do with $20,000?

I think that what he and I would both want is to put it towards a place of our own. I am beyond grateful for my family and how they have helped me so I can provide for him, but I know that both he and I are looking forward to our own space, where he can have sleep overs, friends over, etc. It seems an impossible feat but I know through God all things are possible and so we pray for His will and His timing.
