Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Seeing my children light up when I walk into the room, no matter how long I’ve been gone, means everything to me. The way they love me unconditionally makes all the hard moments worth it. I especially cherish when they ask questions about my day-to-day life; it reminds me that they notice how hard I’m working while still being present for them. Juggling it all isn’t easy, but having that effort recognized through a child’s eyes is incredibly rewarding.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To slow down. I’m naturally a go-getter, someone who likes to move quickly and take action. But having children has taught me that while speed has its place, many moments call for patience. Taking a beat, truly listening to what my child is saying, or simply not rushing them in the morning (which is especially hard for me) can make a big difference. I’ve noticed far fewer meltdowns just by giving things a little more time and space. This has taken years to develop for me but I am getting there.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I were fortunate enough to receive the grand prize, I would use it to create both lasting memories and long-term stability for my family. I would plan a meaningful vacation centered on connection - time to slow down, be fully present, and create moments my children will cherish. I strongly believe in investing in experiences over material things. I would also set aside a portion to support their future, whether that’s college or a trade school, helping give them a strong foundation.
