What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Knowing that in a world that can be hard, my children get to know what it feels like to be deeply loved. That it is a privilege to be their safe place. To love, shape, guide, protect, and nurture these little lives is one of the holiest callings a woman could carry. I get to love them with a depth that will shape who they become. Before the world speaks to them, I do. Before the world teaches them, I do. Before they understand love through anyone else, they learn it through me.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has given me the opportunity to become the kind of mother I needed as a child. It has taught me that love is not only emotional, it is formative. Every hug, every prayer, every correction, every comfort, every sacrifice, every act of showing up, is building them. And while I am raising them, God is healing and refining parts of me through them.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would want that money to grow either by saving, investing, or even starting something of my own. There’s a part of me that wants more independence, more control over my future and my kids future. Id like my kids to learn how to steward their money well and it would serve as a learning experience for all of us. I would also carve out money for my kids—not in a flashy way, but in a memory-making, heart-centered way. Id want my kids to look back and think "mom made life special by... "
