The most rewarding part of being a mom is the deep sense of purpose and gratitude. After 7 years, 5 miscarriages, and giving up at 40, I found out I was pregnant at 41—the same week my dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. My son, Fenix, is our miracle. He brings joy in our hardest moments and inspires me to be better every day. Motherhood has given me love, strength, and a renewed sense of who I am.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is that I am stronger and more resilient than I ever imagined. After years of loss and uncertainty, becoming a mom showed me the power of hope and perseverance. It has also taught me to slow down, be present, and cherish the small moments, because they truly matter the most.
What would you do with $20,000?I would spend the money creating meaningful memories with my family by planning a trip, like a cruise, for my husband, son, and mother. I would decorate my son’s hockey-themed room to make it special for him. I would also put some money aside for his future and donate a planted tree in my father’s name from my son as a way to honor his memory.
