I show up with strength, grace, and unwavering love, daily to support our twin 17‑year‑old sons as they grow into young men.
We would like to thank you for supporting LaQuetta Peoples in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is the privilege of pouring the very best of who I am into my two sons. Motherhood isn’t just a role to me—it’s a calling, a gift, a passion, and a purpose woven into my everyday life. I feel deeply blessed to wake up each day and love them, guide them, and watch them grow into who they’re meant to be.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me what agape, unwavering love truly feels like. It’s shown me that patience, understanding, grace, and a heart of servanthood are the qualities that help me become the best mom I can be. I’m perfectly flawed, and I’ve learned to embrace those imperfections as reminders that my children don’t need perfection—they need love, presence, and a mother who shows up with her whole heart.
What would you do with $20,000?Our twins will be HS Seniors in August—one heading to a university and the other to ministry school. I’d set aside $8,000 to support their tuition/living expenses. I’d use $1,500 to finally record my first worship singles—a personal dream. I’d also save $3,000 for a special graduation trip to celebrate their HS graduation. My husband and I would use the remainder to pay down some debt. It would be a blessing to use the money in ways that honor our family and the new seasons we’re stepping into.
