I feel like I’m running the kids to appointments&activities constantly, holding a FT career, supper on the table and time together.
We would like to thank you for supporting Lacy Jahlas in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
I love watching the kids in activities they participate in. It is so fun to watch them grow into young adults what they love to do. It is so much fun to watch them grow up into young adults and hope they’ve learned something you’ve tried to teach them along the way. Sometimes you get the feeling you did something right in what you see of your kids as they grow.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I became a mom at age 20. Most of my friends were in college partying in the dorms, learning who they were and not even thinking about a family life yet. I grew up quick. Motherhood taught me to always put my kids and family first, no matter what I may want. I can always get what I want after they’re grown. My kids are only kids for so long.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use $20,000 to probably pay off some debt, start savings accounts for all 3 of my kids as being a single mom I haven’t been able to do so, and then maybe start a retirement fund with anything leftover for myself, or at least a good cushion/savings account for myself. It’s not easy to save very much money as a single mom with health issues.
