Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of motherhood for me has been the entire process and a daily reminder. I went through 5 years of fertility treatments to hold a precious child daily. Every day I thank God for my daughter. Every time she holds my hand, comes to me crying, is angry, smiles, frustrated, I am reminded of the blessing she is from God. The years of struggle to even have a child have left me so grateful to experience every bit of motherhood. Every time I hear “momma” it floods me with joy.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I have learned has been true kindness. The kind of kindness Jesus lived by. It’s kindness in our actions, words, vocabulary, discipline, and every facet of life. My daughter mirrors almost everything from me, so it has forced me to examine myself to be a better person, business owner and mother. I trust God to help me be the best example and set her on a good path for life and ask God and her for forgiveness when I am not.

What would you do with $20,000?

With the winnings, I would put a down payment on a small home for the two of us. Nothing more than 1,100sqft, a big yard for our veggies and her flower garden and space to play outside. Somewhere we can call our home and paint her room whatever color she wants. Somewhere where we can decorate. Somewhere we can have pets, watch the birds, count the stars, and play in the sprinklers.
