Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

One of the most rewarding parts of being Avery's Mom is watching her grow and meet new milestones. Most recently she has been working so hard in Kindergarten to sound out words and learn the "power words", just a few weeks back she read a whole book all by herself and we celebrated big! She felt so accomplished and I felt so proud she achieved that goal she set for herself. I look forward to the next milestones she will achieve and the confidence she will gain as she learns more and more.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Flexibility is a must! Moms need to be quick on their feet, whether that be changing things up to make a boring task fun, or slowing down to talk through big feelings these littles go through daily. No day is the same but having a "schedule" keeps my daughter focused on what's next. It's easier to work through big feelings if she knows what's coming next in the schedule for the day. We make household chores fun so she finds value in taking care of what she and we have. Patience is key!!

What would you do with $20,000?

First I would pay off any high interest debt and allocate funds for emergencies. Then I would invest in an Education Fund for Avery to go towards college expenses in the future. If anything is left over maybe do a Mommy Daughter Spa Day just for relaxation but fun will my girl too!!
